NexGen Hearing: Cumberland

Welcome to the NexGen Clinics in the Comox Valley. We provide diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing aid evaluations, fittings, repairs for all makes and models. We also offer tinnitus solutions, counseling, and instruments.

I’m an audiologist with over 25 years of experience in the hearing industry. I am trained in fitting Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA) and Lyric as well as traditional hearing aids. My assistant Maria and I are passionate about meeting the communication needs of our clients. We listen to the clients’ needs and make the clients feel welcome. Our clients are important to us and we are proud to deliver excellent hearing aid service, care, and products.

With a full-time clinic in Courtenay and part-time clinic in Cumberland we are service providers for Veterans’ Affairs, Worksafe BC, and NIHB clients. Our Cumberland office is located in the Dunsmuir Medical Clinic and is open every Wednesday. There is convenient parking on the street out front and it is wheelchair accessible. You are sure to find your hearing needs met through the latest technology in hearing aids, accessories, and assistive listening devices.

Cumberland has much to offer in the ways of activities. Hiking, skiing, biking, golfing, and fishing are just a few. Golfing with your buddies or fishing with your grandchildren is so much better when you can hear your best!

Susan Sinclair, M.A., Aud (C)

Registered Audiologist, OwnerSusan has been an audiologist for 27 years. She grew up in Vancouver, BC, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and French. Susan earned her Master of Arts degree in Audiology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.

Susan spent the first part of her career in northern British Columbia, working with both children and adults in a clinical setting, diagnosing and treating hearing losses. She has worked in hearing clinics in the Kootenays and on Vancouver Island for the past 16 years.

She is trained in fitting Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA) and Lyric as well as traditional hearing aids.

Susan is passionate about meeting the communication needs of her clients through the latest technology in hearing aids, accessories and assistive listening devices.
