Susan Marynewich

Doctor of Audiology/Owner

Susan Marynewich earned her Audiology Doctorate through the University of Florida and her Master of Science in Audiology from the University of British Columbia. She has recently been published in the International Journal of Otolaryngology for her Masters’ thesis research.

Full Bio

Susan is certified by the Canadian Academy of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) and is registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia. Susan is able to work alongside both family physicians and ENT specialists to ensure thorough patient care. She is highly knowledgeable on the numerous hearing aids available in the marketplace and thus she is able to select products that best fit her clients’ specific needs. She can also assist you with your tinnitus related questions, aural rehabilitation, and hearing aid trouble-shooting. Susan prides herself on ensuring patient satisfaction. At the West Broadway and New Westminster clinics where Susan practices, she is eager to educate others and is available to offer information sessions at your community centre, 55 + residence, or workplace. When she isn’t hard at work, Susan is always up for an adventure, enjoying traveling and being an outdoor enthusiast. Susan looks forward to meeting with you to assess your hearing needs.

Sam Choi

Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner

Sam graduated from the Hearing Instrument Specialist program and worked as a full-time practitioner in Toronto and Saskatoon. He relocated to British Columbia and has been registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of BC since 2015. Through his experience, Sam has learned to implement the best practices and has acquired a thorough knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of hearing aids.

As a Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner, Sam shows a great level of dedication and devotion to his clients to help them hear better. What he finds most rewarding is to establish a professional and friendly relationship with his clients through providing the utmost care and service. He looks forward to meeting you!

Estefany Rodriguez

Audiometric Technician

Estefany obtained her Medical Office Assistant certificate through Douglas College in 2013. Since then, she has been working as a medical assistant in the health care industry. Estefany is passionate about customer service and is committed to ensuring a positive experience for every client at NexGen Hearing. She is excited to further her client relationships in her new role as an Audiometric Technician.  Outside of work, Estefany enjoys spending time outdoors as much as possible.

Kay Samson

Customer Care Representative

Kay is a registered nurse from the Philippines. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cebu Doctors’ University. After earning her license, she worked in one of the premiere hospitals in the Philippines wherein she was assigned to different units.

Full Bio

After 2 years of working as a nurse, Kay went to Singapore to work as a nursing aide focusing on elderly rehabilitation at Econ Medicare Centre — one of the nursing facilities in the city. She set her foot in Canada in 2014 and engaged with child, elderly and disability care in Abbotsford. She transferred to Vancouver in 2018 to further explore her interest in Audiology.

Recently joining NexGen Hearing, Kay is bringing her experiences and skills in healthcare to become an effective and efficient Customer Care Representative at the New Westminster clinic. Coupled with radiating a positive attitude, she relates well with her clients and co-workers and is looking forward to meeting you!
