NexGen Hearing: West Kelowna
The West Kelowna NexGen Hearing clinic provides general audiology services such as diagnostic hearing tests, tinnitus assessments, and hearing aid fittings, amongst other services. We also provide specialized hearing aids which are not available at most hearing clinics.
We believe strongly in not only meeting our patients’ expectations but in exceeding their expectations. Our goal is to get our patients hearing as best as possible and will continue work closely with them many years after their hearing aid fitting. We understand that good hearing is critical to the overall quality of life and also understand how hearing loss can leave people cut off and isolated from the world around them. Our greatest joy is in seeing the life-changing impact that hearing aids have on our patients.
We do not believe that good hearing is an option available only to those who have the financial means to afford them. Because of this we have a hearing aid donation program whereby hearing impaired patients who do not have the financial means to afford hearing aids will be provided with appropriate hearing aids at no cost to them at all. We sincerely want to help those with hearing needs in any way possible.
The West Kelowna clinic of NexGen Hearing is located in one of the fastest growing regions in BC. The office is situated in the newly developed area of West Kelowna in the Westbank Hub Centre. We are excited to be a recent addition to the area and to be a part of West Kelowna’s growth. We also have a satellite clinic in Peachland Pharmacy where we are able to serve Peachland residents in their own town. We have grown to appreciate the people of Peachland and have realized the love they have for their city and the desire they have to stay within their community as much as possible.
Within our first year of operation we have already gotten to know many different community groups as we have been invited as a speaker for various service groups and associations in both West Kelowna and Peachland.

With twenty years in the health care product industry, Tom has amassed a wealth of practical experience and knowledge that has been instrumental in skillfully caring for his clients’ hearing care needs. You will often hear Tom referring to your experiences with adapting to your eyewear, as his history in the field of optics is where he honed his skills in patient counselling early in his career.
Growing up in a small BC Interior town, in a family where hearing loss was prevalent, he developed a compassion early on for the hearing impaired. This naturally led to a career path to become a hearing practitioner and eventually a clinic owner where he continues to fulfill his passion of helping find solutions for those suffering with many different types of hearing loss.In recent years developing his career skills, Tom has added specialty hearing certifications to his resume. As a self proclaimed “life long learner”, Tom is always striving to find the right solution for his growing list of satisfied clients.
In 2007, Tom and his wife, Allison moved from Victoria to Kelowna where they now raise their two young boys. In the winter months you will often find Tom on the slopes of Big White Ski Hill volunteering as a ski patroller/medic, or skiing with his family. This summer, Tom has revived his youthful enthusiasm for slow-pitch baseball on the diamond, playing with a colleague on a NexGen Hearing sponsored team.
If you have been a client of Mr. Millar’s in the past, he invites you to drop by and reconnect, and warmly welcomes all future clients who are seeking answers to their hearing needs.
