FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get a new hearing aid or set of hearing devices?
Assuming you have already had a hearing test to confirm you need hearing aids, the timeline to fit hearing aids is quite short. Hearing aids are shipped from the manufacturer often within a few business days, with a longer waiting period when we order custom molded devices. Often, we have stock on hand and availability to schedule you within a week.
Does NexGen Hearing fit hearing aids from all manufacturers?
Yes, we have access to all manufacturers and brands of hearing aids. During your consultation, we will take into consideration your hearing and lifestyle needs to recommend the best hearing aid for you.
Which style of hearing aid will work best for me?
Once we have tested your hearing and discussed lifestyle, vision, and dexterity considerations, we will help you choose the most suitable hearing aid style. Hearing devices come in a range of sizes and styles, including custom in-the-ear products and behind the ear products. Our Audiologists will be able to help guide you toward the best option.
How much do hearing aids cost?
Hearing aids range in price depending on the level of technology inside of the device. The price of hearing aids is not dependant on the size, but rather the features and technology. We offer a wide range of hearing devices and flexible financing or even leasing options tailored for you. If applicable, we can help you navigate third-party funding, and advise you of potential opportunities.
What happens if my hearing aids do not fit comfortably?
We want you to be happy and comfortable with your hearing aids. When we fit you with your hearing devices, we ensure the fit and sound are comfortable for you. Through a series of follow-up appointments, we continue to program the settings to help you adjust to the sound and comfort. Hearing aids are fine-tuned and adjusted to suit your needs by working closely with your audiologist. At NexGen Hearing, we will work with you as long as it takes to find the right settings that match your unique needs.
Can hearing aids be returned?
We have a 90-day Satisfaction Guarantee at NexGen Hearing. The first 21-days of your trial are completely free so that you can try the hearing devices in your regular listening environments before making any financial commitment to purchase. At NexGen Hearing, we aim to remove all barriers to trying hearing aids, including up-front costs and deposits. Once the hearing aids are purchased you have 69 more days on trial, during this trial the devices can be exchanged for something different or they can be returned for a full refund.
