ANSWERS ABOUT HEARING AIDS AND MORE

Frequently Asked Questions

The timeline can vary somewhat from one manufacturer of hearing aids to another, and it can also depend on current inventory and wait times, etc. When you are ready to make your hearing aid purchase, one of our NexGen Hearing specialists will advise the approximate timeline to get your hearing aid(s) as well as building in time for fitting and adjustment.
When you visit the BC NexGen Hearing centre near you and speak with one of our hearing specialists, she or he will advise on the hearing aid or hearing devices that will work best for your specific hearing needs and goals. We stand by all the hearing aid manufacturers and brands offered at NexGen Hearing centres, but we don’t necessarily have a preference for one – it really depends on your situation and how we can best help you hear better.
The hearing aid specialists at NexGen Hearing clinics in BC want you to feel comfortable and be happy about hearing the sounds of your world. When the hearing aid or hearing devices first come into the clinic from the manufacturer, we will meet with you for fitting and make adjustments as needed. Should you at any point feel less than comfortable with your hearing aid(s), don’t hesitate to get in touch with a NexGen Hearing clinician or hearing aid specialist so that we can help you get a better fit for your hearing device(s).
At NexGen Hearing, we are proud to offer a 90-day trial period for your new hearing aids, with no money down for 21 days. If you are not satisfied with your purchase at the end of this trial, 100% of your money will be refunded.

Our audiologists and hearing instrument practitioners consider a number of factors before recommending a hearing aid. It all starts with the results of the hearing test. This will tell us the type and severity of hearing loss a patient is experiencing. Then, they take time to get to know the patient. They will ask for details regarding the patient’s lifestyle, the types of noise they are exposed to, and situations where their impaired hearing is causing issues for them. Using the information they are given, and the results of the hearing test, our clinic staff will be able to present multiple options for a hearing aid that will work for the type and severity of hearing loss, as well as fit the lifestyle of the patient.
